Cork is a natural raw material, recyclable and sustainable. The cork that we use in Porto is low processed. The cork blocks we use are made of layers of cork strips and not grains. This careful manufacturing of the cork means that the properties of the material are preserved compared with the cork-granulate used in many products. By using natural cork in Porto, most material properties are maintained, such as the cork's elasticity, acoustic insulation and resistance to friction. Cork is also allergy friendly and recyclable. And last but not least, by using natural cork, the original cork pattern is maintained, which makes each Porto product unique.
